Raniero Cantalamessa, Ratzinger’s preacher -the only person allowed to preach to the pope, is comparing the discontent, criticism and dissatisfaction that’s being leveled at the Catholic church to the anti-semitism faced by Jews.
This in the wake of the blatant and immoral cover-up and rigorous dismissal of child sexual abuse by perhaps hundreds of Catholic priests that continues in the Catholic church. The most recent allegations are in Germany, where the archbishop of Munich is accused of raping boys.
It’s clear that the Catholic church will be looked upon by archaeologists thousands of years from now as a sex cult where young virgins were sacrificed to the priestly class for their carnal pleasure. Perhaps this is how their god is appeased, unbeknown to the lay-believers.
